This incredible 1940s unglazed floor tile is a dark gray octagon. Each sheet is 11.25" x 22.5" x 1/4" thick. Manufactured by Newtown Tile Co. in Trenton NJ, USA in the 1940s. Pattern is Octagon. 

This tile is meant to be set with the paper up as shown in the photo.
