This tile features rounded concentric squares and circles in shades of orange, yellow, and cream. It has a bold, graphic look and is a classic example of pop-art influence in European tile design.
Each tile is 4.25” x 4.25”, 3/16” thick, manufactured in Germany by Villeroy and Boch in the 1970s.
45 boxes are available. $625.00 per box. Each box consists of 12.5 square feet/ 100 pieces of tile. A total of 550 square feet is available.
Historical Background:
Although Villeroy and Boch was founded in 1748, the company embraced the modernist explosion of the 1960s and 70s with daring and colorful designs. These tiles were produced by the V and B Mosaïque division in Mettlach, Germany, and aimed at a young, style-conscious European market. They were widely sold across Germany, France, the Benelux countries, and Canada.
